The think I enjoyed most today... was learning how to greet & ask how are you!
“Hola ¿Qué tal?” “bien gracias” A complete beginner after first session.

A small unpressurised class. Christine Hitchborn, Helpston.

The thing I enjoyed most about this class today... was the group asking each other questions in Spanish. I like the informality and that you can have a drink (glass of wine, cup of tea) while learning Spanish. I think it's nice that even if you make a mistake you're showing you are trying to speak the language. A big failing of England is to go abroad and expect others to speak English, I think this shows bad manners. Being in a wheelchair I'm unable to get about like I used to, but can get to the Spanish club. Betty, Peterborough

It's good to have a class where you 'pay as you go'. If I paid up front I would be less inclined to commit as I know there will be times I cannot attend.

I come because although I have quite a wide vocabulary I don't often need to speak in Spanish, while in Spain, and this class makes me use it in a structured way. It's so easy these days to 'get by' in Spain without learning the language. I feel it shows respect for the country to use at least some of their language! I need to feel that I am using what I know to make myself understood. Iris

If you don't know very much Spanish, you are not intimidated by those that can speak more fluently. You receive personal attention and patience; you're given time to think before having to give an answer.
